We are so honored to be hosting Frank Chapman on his speaking tour of the Pacific Northwest.
Chapman was wrongfully convicted of murder and armed robbery in 1961 and sentenced to life and 50 years in the Missouri State Prison. In 1973, the National Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression (NAARPR) took up Frank's case. In 1976
he was released after being incarcerated for 15 years. In 1983, he was elected Executive Director of NAARPR where he worked with Angela Davis to free the falsely accused and politically persecuted, a role he still serves to this day. Chapman is also the Field Organizer and Educational Director of the Chicago Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression (CAARPR) and serves on the Central Committee of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRO). He recently published his autobiography The Damned Don't Cry: Pages from the Life of a Black Prisoner & Organizer.
Please join us for a night of discussion on the fight for community control of the police, black liberation, and socialism!
